This policy sets out the commitment of Richmondshire Leisure Trust (RLT) towards equality of opportunity for all.

It is the mechanism whereby RLT seeks to avoid discrimination either directly or indirectly.

It recognises in Richmondshire Leisure Trust, a practical expression as a Charitable organisation of the principle of equal opportunities.  It is important to move from statements of principle to clearly stated polices, and to monitor those policies.  No one is free from prejudice, and it is therefore important for all      involved in an organisation to work, collectively and individually, towards greater equality of opportunity.

RLT’s resources are limited but it will nevertheless work within the constraints of those resources to achieve the best possible practice in relations with its employees, the board and the public in general.
